Thirty-Three

SAN FRANCISCO:

Here are a few photo's from my going dinner in San Francisco at Sushi Hana. It was such a good last goodbye and I already miss these people so much. I'm not going to get all sentimental on here and go into in-depth stories. Instead, I'll keep the words short and let the pictures do the talking.

My friend Sean surprised me by dressing up as me in drag. I think it's safe to say he had it down to the t! They even snuck into my apartment while I was out and grabbed one of my signature hats. It was the best going away present anyone could ask for.

SEATTLE:

The weather has been exceptionally nice here since my arrival. Today's heat wave has left me with droopy eyes and a dysfunctional brain (I blame yesterday's heat too for my current condition). But I can't complain when I just came from a city that had an average temperature of 60 degrees and high winds. I've been sure to take advantage of this beautiful weather with strolls around the city, picnics on Bainbridge Island and laying out on my parent's deck while feeling completely relaxed for the first time in a long time. I know at some point this short-lived vacation will have to end soon and any second now reality will be waking me up with a nice slap in the face. But until then I'll be relishing in every last enjoyable moment.

Tuesday: I went out for drinks and appetizers with two of my closest friends at 611 Supreme, this adorable French creperie/bistro lounge and restaurant. The atmosphere inside was very relaxed and intimate. They even had live jazz playing and very yummy food! I want to go back for brunch some time and much on crepes.

Wednesday: Yesterday was my close friend, Stacie's, birthday! The plan for the day was a ferry ride out to Bainbridge Island for a picnic. We started the morning off with a trip to Pike Place Market to pick up some fruit, cheese and a much needed cup of coffee and pastry.

So how about the fact that I know Paul and Nikki from down here in good ole orange count? The older I get the smaller the world feels.

And I can see why you went back to Seattle it is just absolutely beautiful!!! I would pick that over SF any day.

It looks like you have great friends in both cities, which is a nice situation to be in. Your friend in SF really did do a great job of dressing up like you... and what a unique going away present.

In other news, I'm now craving a bowl of raspberries. This can't end well. ; )

Meggstatus-haha! That's so funny that you know them. Paul is actually my good friend Sean. I swear as the population gets bigger, the world somehow gets smaller.

I am definitely happy about moving back here. It's nice to walk outside and actually see nature instead of a homeless person pissing in the streets. I love San Francisco and I'm glad I was able to experience it but I was ready to leave.

Emily, Ruby Slipper Journeyer- I was so surprised and shock when I was saw him walk in. It was the perfect way to remember him by though because he has such a comedic and fun personality.

Mmm I love summer fruit! There's so much yummyness to choose from

Mel-I am falling in love with this city all over again! You should definitely try to make a trip out here some time, it really is beautiful.

Diana-thank you love!

Victoria-haha! I know, it took me forever to edit/re-size all these photo's etc. Next time I need to not fall behind on my picture posts! And I will most definitely add your blog :)

Sonia-I was so excited when my friend showed up with a Mancala boarad, it had been so long since last time I played. I almost forgot about it!

HAYLEY-I have definitely had an enjoyable last couple of weeks! I've been lucky to be able to take a little time off and enjoy myself for once :)

Arielle,
my question regarding part 1 of this post: who's the goodlooking FBI agent? yum.

3 observations: 1) Seattle is HEAVEN in the summer time.
2) my favorite quote about Seattle- "it's a cleaner, friendlier San Francisco.
3) You have an inordinately large percents of attractive friends. Good looking bunch in both cities.

These look like wonderful summer days. : ) That gentleman does have your style down to a "t"! Amazing. Where ever did he/you get such a wonderful bowtie?

You have such a wonderful collection of vintage dresses - you are really inspiring as a modern lady.
